  1. XRS DOOR IS GIVE-AWARE!  FEEL FREE TO GIVE A COPY TO (ALL) YOUR FRIENDS!

  3. Any SysOp that makes Zip_Mail, "XRS Door" or equivalent mailbag packer
  4. for my XRS offline reader/editor available for users on their BBS may
  5. receive a free registration passkey file for their own personal copy of
  6. XRS - the "eXpress Response System" offline reader/editor program.  All I
  7. need for you to do is print out the registration page in your REGISTER.XRD
  8. file and send it end to me with your zone:net/node address - please state
  9. "Free Key for SysOp" clearly on the form, and mail it to me at the given
  10. address, or you may netmail it to me at 372/666 or 372/6666 (both HST/144
  11. v.42bis equipped) or 372/888 - a Hayes "Ultra" V96 (V.32, V.42bis) unit.
  12. That file - REGISTER.XRD - is inside the release version 2.00 zip file
  13. XRDOR200.ZIP - note that you must be listed in any network nodelist (if
  14. you are foreign to "FidoNet" or "EggNet" or "BBSNet" you may have to
  15. provide me with a nodelist segment to validate your "SysOp" status).

  17. I will return your key via netmail to the address given after verifying
  18. the given name in the current nodelist (I have access to all of the major
  19. networks' nodelists).  If you are "brand new" an not yet in the nodelist,
  20. I will send your passkey number as soon as you are listed.

  22. PLEASE NOTE:  Registering XRS provides you with an eight-digit hexidecimal
  23. registration password which you insert into a keyfile.  Unlocking XRS will
  24. not provide any additional features!  Unlocked copies do not pause to show
  25. the registration screen, betas don't ask for temporary key to run, it also
  26. eliminates the "Demo Copy" reminder at the bottom of the screen.

  28. The "passkey" will work for all past, current and future versions of XRS!

  30. I ask for a $30 registration for users of XRS that decide to use XRS more
  31. than 30 days to "test-drive" it, although there is nothing in the program
  32. to stop them from using it forever.  It contains no crippled routines nor
  33. disabled features whatsoever when run in unregistered form!  XRS notes the
  34. absense of registration on the tear line, since registered copies always
  35. have a plus given "+" after the version number.  XRS will also show a
  36. minus "-" sign if it is used after their thirty day free-trial license
  37. expires plus more than two weeks (i.e. on the 45th day and after).

  39. I appreciate your support and ask that you send me suggestions on what you
  40. would like to see in one of the Zip_Mail, RaQmSeX or other mailbag packers
  41. and XRS - the "eXpress Response System" offline reader/editor!  To date, I
  42. have implemented almost every good suggestion I have received in the XRS
  43. program, and XRS is a better program due to the "tight feedback" loop!

  47. XRSDoor and XRS are both distributed via SDS "Software Distribution System".

  53. others - all of these nodes have HST modems!  Also - available at 9600
  54. V.32/V.42/V.42bis from my 1:372/888 node, which is a Hayes V9600 "Ultra".
